Michael went to Kuwait, Turkey and two other undisclosed military locations on a USO tour entertaining troops. He was picked by the International Thriller Writers to be a part of  Operation Thriller III, along with Brad Meltzer, Kathleen Antrim, Joseph Finder and Andy Harp. They traveled to eight bases in four countries.
